Relume Sitemap Performance Optimization

At a glance

The community member is experiencing performance issues with the Relume site builder when working with a sitemap of about 50 pages. They are using Windows and the Edge browser, and the wireframe UI becomes mostly unresponsive. The community members suggest trying the site builder in Chrome, but the performance is still poor even with a fresh Chrome install and no extensions. The hardware of the development desktop (128GB RAM, 32 cores) is ruled out as the issue. The community members request the Relume project URL and suggest recording a screen share to further investigate the problem, but there is no explicitly marked answer.

Hello, I'm trying out relume and so far I love the concept and the components and the scaffolding features. However, when I have a sitemap of about 50 pages, the wireframe UI becomes mostly unresponsive. I'm using Windows and Edge as my browser - is this a known limitation? Is there a workaround or should I create different projects/sitemaps for different parts of my website? Still in the free trial, but would love to get this resolved so I can give relume a fair shake.

@Chris Shellenbarger yeah I would only use the site builder in Chrome. Most likely the issue is the Edge browser.

Okay, thanks I'll download chrome and try - are there any known pagesize limits with Chrome?

@Chris Shellenbarger naw, not generally. Some chrome extensions will interfere with the performance but if you are downloading a clean version of it and have never used it, should be fine. Overall though, like any application, there are some reliance on the hardware of the device as well.

I just downloaded Chrome - it has about the same performance 😞

fresh install, no extensions

is this a tablet type PC or like a normal laptop/desktop or?

This is a development desktop 128GB ram 32 cores

yeah safe to rule out hardware lol

can you share the relume project URL?

I don't see anything spiking - i'm about 11% cpu and 15% mem in use

yeah, not hardware

DM'd the link - thanks for your help!

can you record any kind of screenshare - loom.com has a free version - showing how its lagging - no audio is fine
