@Shannan Mann did you clone our webflow style guide?

If so, can you send me your read-only link?

no I just installed the relume plug in as it doesn't indicate anywhere I need to do this for set up

your copy says to just install relume plugin

and I should be able to use everything in webflow

@Shannan Mann okay so you found the app through the Webflow App Marketplace?

but I purchased a plan from your site

a monthly starter one

thank you for the quick response, I really appreciate it

we'll have to increase our communications via the app

but yeah, you'll want to start the project over, using the webflow style guide and clone that, then open the app there to import

I'm not sure what that means...

no worries, lets start over πŸ˜‰

I would have a watch over these super quick videos - they are a couple of minutes long total.
https://www.relume.io/resources/series-videos/introduction-getting-started

And here is a doc on the Relume Webflow App
https://www.relume.io/resources/docs/how-to-import-to-webflow

k its talking abotu the ai web buidler

I do not want that

I just want to use the components right now

also I don't understand the docs, it has the chrome extension there

i did that already

I have to do something else alognside that or instead of that?

should I be deleting the chrome extension?

I have no pages to import

I am starting a brand new project

if you aren't using the Relume site builder, then you don't need to use the Relume Webflow app. You'll just need the extension, and the webflow style guide
https://webflow.com/made-in-webflow/website/relume-library-styleguide

right okay so I clone that?

click the blue "Clone in webflow" button, name the project, and then start copying/pasting components into it

whats the webflow style guide

this says relume style guide

i feel like this should be clearer in your copy

your project is great but this part is not clear at all

sorry, we have a figma kit and we have a style guide builder...so we have a big ecosystem

wait so I need to use figma to edit styles

colors and fontS?

I can't do this in webflow?

also now it's opened this up:

no, you dont have to use figma, I'm just explaining for further context why we name certain things what we name them

and this is on home

can I delete this?

first screenshot is the style guide

second screen shot, you can delete - the div says "delete this"

I'm quite confused, this says Home

I don't want this as my home

but you're saying I can't delete this stuff?

hit z on your keyboard

ah you mean this

those getting started videos are still pretty relevant to webflow, you can skip to the webflow versions, we also have several Webflow docs

I'm just confused, do I keep the main wrapped this

and the page wrapper

and does it need to be copied to every page I make?

what about CMS/blog pages

every page - I generally create a page that i name "new page" that has whatever structure I need for every page, within that and duplicate that for each new page I want to create

okay so page-wrapped global styles should be in every page, and all content for that page needs to be contained under main-wrapper?

including cms and ecommerce pages

okay thanks so much

no problem, apologies for it being a confusing start for you

once you get through that content, and you have any more questions, please pop back in, happy to help

Hey friends,

For those of you who have been struggling with the "Unknown Variable" error when using Relume outside of their style guide... I’ve solved the problem, and you can see how to fix it in this YouTube tutorial here: πŸ˜€πŸŽ‰
