Hey Loomers! 👋
I am curious what your go-to method is for implementing reliable cookie management that is also GDPR-compliant.
Is there a free or DIY solution you could recommend?
During my research, I found this amazing initiative; however, two code files need to be uploaded to the assets of the page builder, which I think is not possible for Webflow.

Thanks for your help, I would really appreciate it! 😊
But, if you’re in Europe, I would suggest a pay service like cookie yes. It will save you a lot of headaches down the road. I work at an AML company in Norway so we have to be super careful with being compliant, maybe your case is different in which case I would recommend Finsweets
I know the pain bruv… unfortunately, as you know, GDPR laws here are hardcore, not like the uk or the us (the Wild West) 🥹
@Miguel looking at doing the same, but I am in the US working for a US company.
We don't need this yet, but are looking to cover our bases on GDPR and CCPA. We don't have a huge amount of traffic outside of the US as that is mainly where we operate. What kind of headaches would appear down the road — are you just talking about potential fines, etc or more the functionality of Finsweets tool vs a dedicated tool like Cookie Yes?
Fines are the main risk. If your company operates in the US, you’re obviously required to follow US regulations. But even if you’re based in the EU and store data in the US, you could run into compliance issues. Every company is different and subject to different rules depending on jurisdiction and data handling.
When I say save yourself the headache, I mean it literally. Tools like CookieYes generate monthly reports, scan your website for new cookies, and flag any that need to be added to your privacy policy or cookie consent banner. That level of automation helps you stay compliant without having to micromanage updates manually, which you'll have to do with finsweets cookie thingy
Just bear in mind: the country I’m in takes GDPR compliance very seriously 🫠... so it’s worth staying on top of it.
Looks like Cookie Yes is cheaper as well — $100 year vs $120 for Finsweets Cookie Consent. I guess Finsweet's tool is better if you use it for more than 3 years and the lifetime cost bares out.
