Proper Workflow for Copying Components and Renaming Elements

At a glance

The community member is asking about the proper workflow when copying in components to avoid having to rename many elements, such as "spacer-small-2", "-3", etc. Another community member suggests that the issue may be due to duplicate classes, and recommends installing the Relume Chrome Extension and enabling class sync. The second community member acknowledges that they were unaware they needed to keep the Chrome extension active for it to work, and says they will try that approach.

does anyone know what the proper workflow should be when copying in components so that many of the elements don't need to renamed every time for duplicate items? ie: spacer-small-2, -3, etc Or is renaming as you drop in required? Thanks!

hmm I don't think you should be having classes that are spacer-small 2 - if that is what is happening then you are likely getting duplicate classes.

You'll want to first make sure that you have the Relume Chrome Extension installed and class sync turned on.

If that's the case, we'll try to investigate it further from there, but let's start there.

Ah, I didn't know I had to keep the chrome extension active for it to work. I'll give that a go, thanks!
