Hi There! Silly question. How do I get the icon color to change on a button when I modify the icon component?

Sorry... I should specify that this is for the Figma styleguide.

ah sometimes you might have to re-apply the color change to the icon if you've swapped icons but this might be my own lack of knowledge with how this was all setup to be honest. Can you walk me through the changes you've made and the expected result just so we're on the same page?

Essentially, when I place a button with an icon from the styleguide, and I swap out the icon, it takes on the black color from the original imported styleguide, and not the new color. I hope that makes senes. Its truly not the biggest deal, I can just change the color of the icon, I just thought that there was something simple I was missing.

yeah I dont think you are missing anything - I think that this is honestly a Figma bug in my opinion. From what I can tell, icons appear to be inheriting the text color of the button just fine but as soon as you change the instance, as you said, it goes back to black.

hmm I'm gonna take that back actually - I just went into Untitled UI's kit to test it out and they were able to pull it off without issue...it might be the way that the components were built - either way the design team is aware of the issue though, I'll just confirm with them that it is indeed a bug with our kit. Thanks for flagging Quinn!

Oh awesome! Really not the biggest deal on the world. Was just something I noticed. Thanks for looking in to it.
