Greetings Relume'ers and Relume-ettes -

First and most importantly... Wow. What I've seen in the videos is very impressive. I'm looking forward to getting intro Webflow, tho' a bit nervous about the paradigm shift. Let me explain, as well as ask some questions.

I'm a (soon to be former) WordPress developer. I typically write bespoke plugins a/o use WP hooks to add customer functionality to existing plugins and theme. I'm not one of those type who installs and activates pluigins and then says, "I'm a WordPress developer." lol In any case, I've been wanting to move away from WP for too long and then Matt's antics assured me it was time to move on. And here I am... 🙂

The point is, I'm coming at this from more of a dev-mindset and less as no-code designer. Nothing wrong with the latter, I'm just not coming at it from that POV.

Note: I'm doing to mention costs. I see the value of these tools, etc. Ppl need to make a living, etc. But so do I. So until I have enough Wf-based revenue I have to be mindful of investments and expenses.

  • I have my first Wf project for a local landscaping company. My sense if there are 5 unique page templates. I'd use Relume for that and push into Wf. In Wf I could clone the pages. For example, all the services would have the same layout, just different copy + images. I don't have to do each service in Relume, true?
  • That said, if I needed a 6th or 7th page template, could I delete 2 pages from Relume, do the new template and then push just those two into Wf?
  • Does a Relume account have the concept of pause or suspended? That is, if I don't have more Relume work, can I down grade a/o "turn off" my Relume account temporarily? Obviously, I can't work on a project if the account isn't active, but the project would still be there, correct?
  • What if I had a project in Pro and wanted to "export" it to another Relume account? For example, the client says "I found someone else" can I handoff what I have to them?
  • I don't use Figma? Should I? It doesn't seem necessary but maybe it's worth it? What are the benefits? What tier / plan? Again, do you know if I can turn that on and off?

In short, while worth it during the design + build, I don't want to be paying for tools I might not be using, at least not yet. Along the same lines, with these tools I',m looking to get a sense for workflow, client-flow, etc., the ability to scale, be efficient etc.

Sorry this is so long but I'm always switching from my bread & butter to something new and exciting the more friction and pain I remove the better. Thanks!
