Folder is a metaphor for digital data structures, mapped to a family of artifacts that resembles organized written work in a physical space.
Group is an abstract term that creates a conceptual domain of which all artifacts within inherit a mark of semantic relationship that may/or may not share similar functions, interactions, or virtues of its nature.
In the interest of not straining the gnat and trying to be modern or accurate to the evolving nature of how data is structured and interacted with, STICK TO THE METAPHOR:

After all it’s a web PAGE. and a page is represented as a FILE on the server. The way it is grouped is with the concept of FOLDERS, because that’s what existed for a long time before computers became “computers”.
