Leveraging Webflow's AI Site Builder: Best Practices for Seamless Integration

At a glance

The community member is a newbie who is trying to understand the best setup when using the Relume Style Guide and the AI Site Builder in Webflow. They have observed that when cloning the Relume Style Guide, the global page settings and page structure are kept, but when cloning the AI Site Builder, the global styles and page structure are removed. The community member is unsure if they should keep the global styles and follow the Finsweet page structure, and is hoping someone can provide guidance or a screenshot to explain the best practice.

In the comments, another community member responds that they will get back to the original poster shortly, and suggests continuing the discussion in the DMs or in the channel, as the question might be the same as someone else's.

Hi, hoping someone could shed some light for a newbie. I don't understand this:

Previous Videos e.g. (Shave days off your Next Webflow Build)

  • Relume Style Guide is cloned, then components are added to the Page Wrapper (which makes sense).
  • The global 'page settings' that come across with the style guide are left in place along with the Style Guide page structure.

New Videos e.g. (Intro to AI Site Builder)
  • Relume Style Guide is cloned, then the page structure is deleted back to Body
  • The AI sitemap page is copied over from Relume to Webflow.
  • In Adam's examples, it is pasted in, but the 'global styles' and page structure from the Relume Style guide is removed.

Does anyone have a guide / info for what is the best setup with this? E.g. Don't you need to keep the Global Styles in tact and follow the Finsweet page structure? I've got a few different demo sites going trying to learn the system...couple of examples below hard to work out what the right setup is when using the AI Site builder copy across.

Hoping someone could explain what best practice is here / maybe provide a screenshot? Thank you! 🫠
