Integrating the Relume Style Guide into an Existing Website

At a glance

The community member is trying to integrate the Relume style guide into an existing website, but is facing challenges. They deleted all the pages and classes to start fresh, but the style guide is not an exact match. Additionally, the community member has adjusted the style guide in Figma, but finding it tedious to transfer the changes to Webflow, as it requires detaching components and using auto layout, which can make some aspects messy.

In the comments, another community member suggests checking out a video on using the Relume library in existing projects. They also note that there is no automated way to go from Figma to Webflow, and the community member will need to manually paste in the components and apply the same styles or design/layout from Figma. The community member is encouraged to reach out if they have any further issues.

Useful resources

Relume university suggests starting ones project with the relume style guide clonable in order to get all the styling as the base. But I am trying to do it on an already existing site. I deleted all of the pages and classes to start fresh and I tried to copy and paste the style guide from the cloneable into my site but not everything is exact.

Another issue:
I have adjusted the style guide on figma as-well but It is a bit tedious to go figma to weblow since it requires all components to be detached and all layers to have auto layout which can make some aspects that aren't meant for auto layout messy.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

As for your second point, there really isn't any way to go from Figma to Webflow in any kind of automated way besides pasting in the components from the site builder or library and then applying the same styles or design/layout from Figma.

It'll take time to learn Webflow and being able to manipulate the elements to match designs but you'll get there! And along the way, if you have any issues at all, please reach out!
