Inheriting Text Color of Nav Links from Parent Class

At a glance

The community member is using the Navbar5 component in Webflow and is wondering how to make the nav links inherit the text color of their parent class. They mention that in a tutorial video, the instructor was able to change the text color of the "navbar5_menu-left" class and have it affect all the links, but the community member is unable to achieve the same result in their own project. The community member asks if it's possible to make the links inherit the text color of their parent class, or if they need to change the link color of each link individually.

In the comments, another community member apologizes for the delay and suggests that there may be some CSS in the global styles embed that can be commented out to style the text colors directly. Alternatively, the community member suggests that the best practice is to select an element above the links so that all of the links have the same color.

There is no explicitly marked answer in the provided information.

Hi, I'm using navbar5 and I'm wondering if there's anyway to make the nav links inherit the text color of their parent class? In the "Webflow Navbar Tutorial | Relume Library" tutorial video. The instructor changes the text color of the "navbar5_menu-left" class and the changed the color off all links. But when I do the same in my project the nav link text colors don't change. They don't change even when I change the color of "All Links". Is it possible to make the links inherit the text color of their parent class? Do I have to just change the link color of each link individually?

apologies for the delay here. Inside of the global styles embed there is some CSS you can comment out of if you want style the text colors directly. Otherwise, best practice is to select an element above the links so that all of your links are the same color.
