Implementing color palettes from relume: a better solution

At a glance

The community member is looking for a better solution to managing color variables when implementing color palettes from Relume. They currently paste the palette into the style guide and add each color as a variable, but wonder if there is a better approach. The community member also requests tips or resources on how to get better at using colors, such as when to use primary, secondary, etc.

In the comments, another community member provides a video resource on using color variables. They also mention that they are actively working on creating more content about practical approaches to using color and variables, and will report back soon. Another community member thanks the first and agrees that it's a great question, and they are working on ways to make colors easier to import and manage, as it can be easy to get overly complex in this area.

Useful resources

Hey Guys, do you know if there is any better solution to color variables when trying to implement the Color Palettes from relume? At the moment i just paste the Palette into the style guide and tehn add every color I need as a variable. I am wondering if there is a better solution to this. Also if anybody has any Tipps or resources in how to get better with colors (when tp use what color, primary, secondary etc...) I would appreciate it πŸ™‚ Thanks!

We're actively working to make content about a practical approach to using color and variables - and the various approaches one could tackle it on a project. Will report back soon!

Thanks And yes, great question We're working on ways we can make colors easier to import and manage πŸ’ͺ

We'll definitely put more resources towards making Color Variables easier to manage as it's one of those rabbit holes which are easier to get overly complex very quickly!
