Exporting Wireframes from Site Builder into Figma

At a glance

The community member was looking into exporting wireframes from a site builder into Figma and found that they had too many components to edit in Figma. They suggested it would be helpful to see how many components are being used on a site and their names, so they could reuse the same components across different wireframes and reduce the amount of work. Another community member requested a read-only link, which was provided. A third community member provided feedback, noting that some of the work of minimizing components could happen in the wireframe stage, and that the site builder does show component names and variants. The original community member then clarified that they were looking for an overview or inventory of all the resources used in the project, similar to what is available in Blender.

Useful resources

I was looking into this process of exporting wireframes from the site builder into Figma and came upon something. I don't know if someone already raised this concern or if you are looking into it.

I had way to many components to edit in Figma and I could have reduced the work by reusing the same component across different wireframes.

It would be so nice to see how many components are being used on a site and the their names.

would you mind sharing a read-only link?

appreciate your feedback - apologies for accidentally hijacking your thread for Sesn's issue.

It sounds like some of that work of minimizing components should or could happen in the wireframe stage. We do show the component name and the variants that we have do essentially swap components - but to your point, might not be completely necessary.

@Matt thanks for the explanation. What I meant was something like an overview of everything, something like what Blender (see image). Kind of like an inventory to get a quick glimpse of the resources used in the project.
