Dots Appear Black When Published Despite Correct Design

At a glance

A community member is having an issue with dots in their design that appear correct in design mode but are black when published. They want the dots to turn brown when selected, and the HTML embed shows fill="currentColor". The community member has tried looking at the parent div where the typography is set to the desired brown color, but it still doesn't work on the published version. Another community member suggests swapping color variables by navigating to the variables and replacing the references in the custom code embed, and this solution worked for the original poster.

Useful resources

Hi all, on section_timeline14, can anyone spot why these dots look correct (brown / brand 2) in design mode but are black when published. I want them to turn brown (from grey) when selected. The html embed shows fill="currentColor". Looks like I can view 'current' by going back to the parent div (timeline14_tab-link) and there the typography is set to brand 2(brown) but it still doesn't turn brown on the published version. Any help much appreciated cheers! https://preview.webflow.com/preview/woodflooringlondon?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=designer&utm_content=woodflooringlondon&preview=271f359569654122a7572a360424bd99&workflow=preview (edited)

We've made some assumptions here which is likely something we could improve upon but you will need to swap color variables which you can find by navigating to variables (v on keyboard) and hitting the gear icon.

You can then copy the variable and paste/replace the references within the custom code embed. Read the code comments to know which colors to use for which.

Awesome this worked thanks!
