Collecting Form Submission URLs with Formly

At a glance

The community members are discussing how to collect the URL of the page that a form was submitted from when using Formly. A community member suggests using custom code to pass the current page's URL into a form input field, which will then be submitted with the form. Another community member requests an example, but the first community member does not have one readily available and suggests asking GTP (the AI assistant) to write the code. A third community member then shares that they added the code to the site settings and added a hidden input field on the form to capture the URL, and provides a read-only link to the result. Another community member expresses a desire to get this resolved quickly. Finally, a fourth community member apologizes for the delay and provides a link to a Finsweet hack that can be used to dynamically submit the page URL through a Webflow web form submission.

Hey! You can use some custom code to pass the current page’s URL into a form input field and that will get submitted with the form.

Thanks! Do you have an example?

Not at hand. Just ask GTP to write a code.

I added the code to the site settings and added the hidden input field on my form (the first field). Here's a read-only link and the result is attached

Would love to get this resolved today 🙏

Thank you Matt! I got it in the end 😊
