Closing other faq accordions when opening a new one

At a glance

The community member is asking if it's possible to close all other FAQ accordions when a new one is opened. The comments suggest rebuilding the accordions using native Webflow dropdown elements and using the dropdown open/close trigger interaction. Another community member suggests this may be for accessibility reasons. One community member provides a video tutorial on how to achieve this using the existing classes. However, the issue remains that the dropdown closes when clicking anywhere else on the page, which is the default behavior. The community members discuss whether this default behavior can be removed through code once the solution is exported.

Useful resources

Does anyone know if it's possible to close all other faq accordions when you open a new one (https://www.relume.io/preview?cid=faq-sections/section_faq4)?

No other way? Why isn't it a dropdown to begin with?

I've seen people say its for accessibility but I am not entirely sure about that.

I have a quick video on how to do it using the existing classes as a starting point.

Hi again , your solution is working, however the dropdown closes when you click anywhere else on the page. Is there a way to disable that behaviour?

Likely not, because that is the default behavior of a dropdown and is what makes the others close.

Could it be removed through code once I export it?
