Clarification on Formly Pro Requirement for Forms

hey lumers! sorry if this was already asked but I need clarification, do we need formly pro for the forms to work? I've read through the documentation & I cannot get any of the forms to work... I'm wondering if it's because I'm on the free plan?

formly free should work for all basic forms - if you need conditional logic or advanced features you’ll need to upgrade.
