Hey guys,
Hope everything’s going well with you. I have a question regarding using a Webflow paid account. Do you know which Webflow paid account would be suitable for using Relume? Should I go for Basic, CMS, Business, or even E-commerce?
Thanks!
just to clarify there are two types of plans with Webflow. The workspace plan, and the site plan. Typically the freelancer pays for the workspace plan, and the client would pay for the site plan.
Workspace plan advice - I would say that if you are a freelancer, solo, and work with other agencies or other companies that might have their own webflow workspace, you would be wise to use the "Agency" plan because you will be able to get free guest access to other workspaces and unlimited unhosted sites. The "Freelancer" plan is fine to start with as well, same features, just limits on number of unhosted sites (10).
For site plans, this is largely dependent on the site you build - if you need the CMS, you'll need the CMS site plan, but if you don't the basic site plan is fine - you can also start with the basic and upgrade to the CMS later. Also, lets say you have a simple landing page, you could build that out and host it under the basic, and then work on the main build in another project for a few months right, and then when you are ready, just upgrade that other landing page to a CMS site plan, and transfer the plan to the main build and it will transfer all of the billing, domains, everything to that other site and when you publish - now you have your full build launched very easily.
To answer your question specifically, in order to fully take advantage of Relume, you will likely need a paid workspace plan ($24/mo USD). You won't need any site plans unless you want to publish the site you've built to a custom domain. Again, this cost is typically passed to the client.
@Matt Thank you so much for the helpful information! I was completely lost, and you just turned the light on for me 🙌. Now I’m diving into the Webflow University videos and can’t believe I didn’t discover this incredible platform sooner!
its life changing! Welcome to the Relume community - we've got your back on this new journey, ask any questions you have (Relume related or not!). 🚀
thank you so much! It’s great to be part of this community. I’m excited to find my way back to web development. I started back in the FrontPage and Macromedia Flash era, then paused when WordPress came around. I did a few projects with WordPress recently but wasn’t thrilled with the maintenance and plugins. Thanks to Relume, I’ve been introduced to Webflow, and I’m really looking forward to learning more and getting back into the market!
