Building a Website for a Client: Navigating Account Access and Domain Considerations

At a glance

The community member is new to Relume and has questions about building a website for a client. They are unsure whether they should use the client's account or their own, and if the client can give them full access to the website. The client is not tech-savvy. The client also has their own domain, and the community member is wondering if that affects the price or anything else.

In the comments, another community member suggests that the community member can join the client's workspace as a guest for free, or work on their own workspace and then transfer the project to the client's workspace when it's done. However, there is no clear answer on whether the community member can use the paid Relume library if they work on the client's account, or if they need to be invited as a guest to use the library.

Hey everyone,

Im new to relume and just had some questions

so I am going to build a website for a client and was wondering do I have to use their account or mine as they will be paying to run it. or is their some function where they can give me full access to the website. also they are not very good with tech whats so ever.

also they have their own domain so does that effect price or anything?

I'm assuming you're talking about Webflow account here.

You can join to your client workspace as a guest for free to work from your client workspace.

Or, you can work on your workspace and when you're done with the project you can transfer it to your client workspace.

Hope this helps.

Hi Bashar, jumping on this questions a bit late but was just researching the same question today! If I work on my clients account will I still be able to load up the paid Relume library? Or would that only work if they invite me to it as a guest so I can use the library?
