Broken navbar interactions when importing a site using the v3 style guide into webflow

At a glance

The community member who posted the original post noticed that when they imported a site using the V3 style guide into Webflow, all navbar interactions were broken. Other community members responded, asking for a read-only link to investigate the issue further. The community members discussed the problem, with one confirming that the issue occurs for any components, and another stating that the interactions import fine in their tests. They also discussed potential reasons for the issue, such as the nav being defined as a global component in the site builder, and the need to publish and preview the site at the published link. The community members continued to investigate the problem, but there was no explicitly marked answer.

@Adrian Taropa would you mind sharing a read-only link?

Hi @Matt sure one sec

@Relume I can confirm this happens for any components. No interactions get imported when I use the site importer via the Relume App. It almost creates as much work as it saves, since I need to re-import those components.

@Adrian Taropa withiin that preview link you sent me, can you tell me where I can find a component that should have interactions but doesn't?

so far in my tests all interactions import fine

some components require to be published and previewed at published link

The nav, I had to fix it since then, but I can run the import on another site and send that one over. For the global nav, it creates a component which gets reused throughout the page but the dropdown animations are all not linked.

hmm dropdown navs are just native webflow interactions - not anything custom that we've done

so if those are not working that is certainly concerning but has nothing to do with the import app or component - would love to dig into this if possible

just ran the import again (just one page, since the site is massive but I was able to reproduce the issue)

I guess the hero animation works, but the nav was defined as a global component inside the site builder in relume.

Maybe that's why it didn't carry over the animations

or sorry interactions

maybe, I can test that out. Was this a fresh clone of the webflow style guide or?

yes, for the second one I just imported the styleguide using the relume app and didn't touch anything else on it
