Billing issue: Unexpected charge during free trial

At a glance

The community member is upset about being charged $1296 for a free trial that they did not get to use. The account they were looking at was $36/month, so they are confused about the high charge. The comments suggest that the community member may have been charged for a yearly plan instead of a monthly plan, and that the enterprise pricing may have been applied instead of the regular business plan. The community members advise the original poster to review their account details, search online for similar issues, and contact the company to understand where the miscommunication occurred so they can prevent it from happening again in the future.

I need help with billing! Where do I get immediate help? I’m super upset that I was charged $1296 on what was supposed to be a free trial set up with James last week. I didn’t even get a chance to try the product. What a bad taste in my mouth. The account I was looking at was like $36/mo what is this charge??!

It sounds like you ended up paying yearly instead of monthly but even then their business plan is only $468/yr.

Can you see what plan you’re on? Sounds like enterprise pricing to me.

Yea that’s not what happened obviously but they did say they refunded me. I have no idea what happened but I’m concerned for future payments that’s for sure

Before being too concerned I would search Google and Reddit to see if this is prevalent or simply an honest mistake due to something that got lost in translation.

If their chat function has chat history, I might also ask them to review to see where the miscommunication took place so on your end you can mitigate this happening in the future.
