Aligning imported wireframes with your figma style guide

At a glance

The community member has been using a Figma kit to build a site with automatically generated wireframes and sitemaps. However, when importing the wireframes into their Figma file, the headings, text, and elements do not align with their established Figma style guide. Manually adjusting each element is time-consuming, and the community member is seeking a more efficient way to ensure the imported wireframe elements automatically adhere to their Figma style guidelines.

Other community members suggest that the issue may be related to whether the community member is using the free or paid Relume Figma kit. They advise the community member to check if they have a paid Relume subscription, which would allow them to access the PRO Figma kit and potentially resolve the alignment issues. The community members offer to provide further assistance by requesting the community member's Figma file and Relume project URL.

The community member later reports that they have created a new file and the issue has been resolved, though they are unsure of what caused the initial problem or what they did correctly this time. They express gratitude and indicate they will reach out again if the issue arises in the future.

Useful resources

I've been a regular user of your Figma kit and now with the new feature for building a site that automatically creates a sitemap and wireframe.

However, I've encountered a challenge. When I import these wireframes from site buider into my Figma file, I notice that the headings, text, and elements aren't aligning with my established Figma style guide. Manually adjusting each element in the wireframe imported to match my style guide is quite time-consuming.

Is there a more efficient way to ensure that the imported wireframe elements automatically adhere to my Figma style guidelines? Any tips or features that could streamline this process would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Letโ€™s see if we can help you get this resolved! ๐Ÿ™‚

Are you working with a PRO Figma kit or the free Figma kit?

If you have a paid Relume account, you can log in and access the PRO Figma kit via your dashboard. The free Figma kit will not pull across your styles. Thatโ€™s my suspicion anyway.

If thatโ€™s not the case, do let me know and we can investigate further!

Thanks Mo ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks I have relume paid subscription so yes, I'm using PRO kit ๐Ÿ™‚

Ooo! In that case I'm going to ask the one and only to step in and give you a hand ๐Ÿ™‚ Hopefully we can help you get this resolved asap! Thanks for patience Mo ๐Ÿ™Œ

would you mind at all sending me a DM withyour share link to your figma file as well as your Relume project URL (under the share button). Will see what we can do!

Hi Matt,
Thanks, and sorry for any confusion. I've created a new file to test things out, and now it's working in both scenarios:

  1. When I added the wireframe after adjusting the style guide.
  2. When I adjusted the style guide after adding the wireframe.
I'm not quite sure what went wrong initially or what I did correctly this time.
If the problem arises again, I'll be sure to reach out. Thank you so much!

okay sounds good. Here is another scenario that might be a clue into what caused this issue before. https://relumelibrary.slack.com/archives/C02MS2V0FSP/p1701642928253609
