Adjusting Text Alignment in Form Fields

At a glance

A community member is having an issue with the text in a form not sitting flush on the line, and there appears to be some bottom padding. The community members suggest decreasing the height of the input field to 1 rem and adding a margin-top of 1 rem to the input field to resolve the issue. The community members also discuss why the text may not sit automatically on the line, with one member noting that this is the default browser setup.

Useful resources

How can I have the text for the form get typed right on the line? Right now it looks like there's some bottom padding under anything I type.

Thank you

Hi Sara,
You looking for something like this??

Input field has a height of 2rems, Decrease it to 1 rem, and give input a margin-top of 1rem

interesting! why doesn't it just sit automatically on the line even if I don't set a height?

Based on my knowledge its default browser setup
