Adding Filter Functionality to a Finsweet CMS Slider

At a glance

The community member is asking if it's possible to add a filter feature (like a Finsweet CMS filter) to a slider component that already contains a CMS collection and uses Finsweet CMS slider attributes. The discussion in the comments suggests that while a carousel may not be the best layout for a filtered experience, the client wanted a section that didn't take too long to scroll through. The community members discuss potential solutions, including using Finsweet Attributes - CMS Filter, CMS Slider, and possibly CMS Nest, along with slider libraries like Splidejs or Swiperjs. The consensus seems to be that it is possible to achieve the desired functionality, but the community members are still exploring the best approach.

Is it possible to add a filter feature (like a finsweet cms filter) in a slider components that already contains a cms collection and already uses finsweet cms slider attributes?

Just a thought but it might actually be better for the user experience to not lay it out in the carousel if you are using filters! Is there a reason you have it set up this way?

Hey thx for your response!
The slider allowed us to display few visible results, unlike a gallery. The client wanted a section that didn't take too long to scroll through.

<i>(For more context, this is a section that appears on a landing page.)</i>

Oh sorry , I've just understood your comment. You don't think it's necessary to display info in the profile if there are filters, right? Not a bad idea!
(<i>My bad sorry my English isn't my strength </i><i>๐Ÿ˜…</i>)

Iโ€™m assuming there are a lot of people then? Hmm..

I wonder if theres a better way to show a preview! Assuming it links to a page where you can see all of it

As for filtering - Iโ€™ve never tried to filter in a carousel before but I wonder if theres a way to do it without using finsweet for the filter if you canโ€™t double up

(also I love that green youre using!)

Hey Do you know if it's possible to do this? if so, do you have any ideas?

you would need to use Finsweet Attributes - CMS Filter, CMS Slider and possibly CMS Nest. You will want to use splidejs or swiperjs for the slider library. But yes, its possible.

Super thanks for your quick response ๐Ÿ™ I'm going to test this!
