Adapting class strategy for modes to relume

At a glance

A community member has created "theme-tags" using variable modes in Relume, which allows them to change the colors of various elements like background, lines, buttons, and borders. They are curious about plans to integrate a similar feature natively in the Webflow styleguide/cloneable. Another community member responds that the Webflow team is waiting to get access to variable modes in the Webflow API, and it will likely take several months before this feature is officially adopted.

I used variable modes to create "theme-tags" for Relume, basically just adapting class strategy for modes to Relume and it works really good in my initial testing. Like "theme-yellow"-tag uses a variable mode called "Yellow Mode" and when applied to a section changes the colors of the background, lines, buttons, borders etc. I just think this is such a win, curious about plans to make something similar natively integrated in the styleguide/cloneable?

@Victor Svedberg yeah this sounds super interesting. I know the team is just waiting to get access to variable modes in the webflow API then we'll be able to officially adopt this feature. So its likely to take several months or so before we see this officially.
