Sitemap Generation Issues: Troubleshooting and Best Practices
Issue with Sitemap AI Generation Hi team, I’m running into a recurring issue with the Sitemap generator.
When I use a short/simple prompt (e.g. 4–5 pages, short descriptions), the sitemap generates fine.
When I try to generate a fuller sitemap (around 7–9 pages, with one-line descriptions per page), the AI starts building out the structure (I can briefly see the nodes appear) but then fails with the error:
“Please try again later. Model failed to add any pages or sections.” Screenshots attached:

Number of pages selected: 5–10
Language: English (US)
Project: This & Beyond (consumer web app, similar to The Knot but for memorial planning).
Tried multiple prompts: simplified bullets, removed parentheses, split across shorter sentences — still crashes once I go past 5–6 pages.
It seems like the model can’t handle slightly longer structured prompts, even though they’re under 10 pages. Question: Is there a character/page limit we should stay under for the sitemap description? Or a known bug with larger multi-page sitemaps?
