Updating Old Relume Figma Kits Automatically

At a glance

The community member has some old Relume Figma Kits (v2.4) and would like to update them to v2.8. They have found a method of creating a new Relume Figma Kit and copying/pasting their v2.4 designs into it, but this is tedious and time-consuming. Another community member suggests that automatically updating the Figma kits is not possible, and an alternative method would be to duplicate the latest version, make style updates to the style guide, and turn it into a Figma library to include in the existing projects. The community member is asked what the biggest motivating factor is for migrating from v2.4 to v2.8, but there is no explicitly marked answer.

Hello! I have some old Relume Figma Kits (v2.4) that I'd like to update to v2.8.

Is there any way to do this automatically?

The method I've found so far is to create a new Relume Figma Kit and copy and paste all of my v2.4 designs into this new v2.8 page, but this is a little tedious and time consuming. Any better ways?

Thanks so much for your help πŸ™‚

unfortunately updating the figma kits automatically does not exist today. Your method seems to be one method, the other would be the opposite of that which is to duplicate the latest, make style updates to the style guide and turn it into a figma library and then include that new figma library into your existing projects.

One question I have is - what is the biggest motivating factor for why you want to migrate your existing figma kits from 2.4 to 2.8?
