Updating a component in webflow after changes in relume

At a glance

The community member started using Relume and cloned their project to Webflow. They noticed that the Navbar component had the wrong style and entries, so they made changes in Relume. However, they are unsure how to update the component in Webflow, and wonder if they need to go through the entire export process again. Another community member suggests turning the navigation into a component so that changes made to it would reflect on all pages. The second community member also notes that once the project is exported to Webflow, the user is essentially not going back into Relume to make edits, so they would either need to make the same edits in Webflow or repeat the export process.

Hey everyone, I just started with Relume today. I managed to clone my project to webflow but after all pages are included I saw that I wanted to replace a component. The Navbar had the wrong style and entries, so I made the changes in Relume, but how do I update the component in Webflow? Do I now need to go through the whole export process again? I tried to just copy the navbar and paste it in Webflow, but that now shows up with an ugly name and not being a global component.

I’d recommend turning your navigation into a component so its the same element on all pages. Whenever you’d need to change it, it would change on every page.

Yeah I think the issue is that once you export to Webflow, you are essentially not really going back into Relume to make edits. So yeah, you would either need to make the same edits in Webflow or do the export process over again.
