Troubleshooting network errors when signing into relume

At a glance

Community members are experiencing a "Network Error. Check your internet connection" error when trying to sign into Relume. The issue seems to be related to network restrictions or VPN settings. A community member suggests that disabling the "Web Protection" feature in NordVPN's "Threat Protection" settings helped resolve the login issue. However, another community member notes that the issue persists even with the setting disabled, and the solution is to keep the "Web Protection" feature completely off.

I keep getting "Network Error. Check your internet connection" error every time I try to sign into Relume. Any suggestions?

I'm getting this too. Haven't been able to log in for a month because of this

Hi and -

We've seen this issue before where some networks incorrectly restrict access. This can happen for some companies or organisations such as libraries, or Universities. It can also happen if you're using a VPN which doesn't allow certain long running network calls.

I'd recommend trying it out on a different network and reaching out to your network administrator to see if they can help. Unfortunately if it's what I think it is there's nothing we can do on our end.

Alternatively, one of our Lumers also encountered a login issue while using NordVPN. Interestingly, even though they weren't actively connected to the VPN itself, NordVPN's built-in "Threat Protection" feature (which acts like an additional firewall) was enabled by default and seemed to be interfering with the login process. Within Threat Protection, there's a "Web Protection" setting. By disabling this setting it has helped them with the login.

Please let us know if any of that works for you both!

oh wow! interesting. I'm just on a home office computer but I do use NordVPN - but I didn't think that was the issue due to me turning it off.
I paused threat protection, and I'm in, thank you so much!

I excluded this domain + webflow from web protection activity too so I can keep it on if anyone else comes across this.
ETA: This actually didn't work, it has to stay totally off.

Yay, glad it works and thank you for sharing !
