Troubleshooting class sync issues

At a glance

A community member is experiencing issues with class sync, where it's creating duplicates of pre-existing classes instead of adopting the same-named class and style. They've tried disabling and re-enabling the feature, but it's still broken. Other community members try to help by asking for more details, such as which component they're copying from and if their browser is fully updated. The community members discuss testing the issue in the Arc browser and checking the extension version, but no definitive solution is provided. The issue is escalated to the engineering team to investigate further.

Hey, class sync isn’t working for me. It’s saying there are “cross-site” issues and it’s creating duplicates of pre-existing classes (with the same name) instead of just adopting the same-named class and style. I’ve disabled / re-enabled, still broken.

I'll find out - where are you copying from?

Hey Matt, copying from relume’s marketing components on the web

hmm which component? and do you have chrome fully updated?

It was Layout 3. Using Arc, a chromium browser, and fully updated. I haven’t experienced this over the past weeks / months since beginning to use Relume

yeah roger that, should work in Arc. If you navigate to the extension > preferences > at the bottom of that right panel it should say the version number, whats it say for you?

I’m more or less okay playing whack-a-mole with individual component renames but I’ve got a few pages I was going to generate and copy over in their entirety and would love to avoid that headache 😄

alright, we've covered the bases here my man...I will escalate to engineering to see what might be the issue here, apologies for the inconvenience.

I hear you, I'll do some testing right now as well

Np I’m headed out for a bit, thank you!

Any chance they found out what might be going on?
