Transitioning from Webflow to Framer: Experiences and Insights.

At a glance

The post is about a community member considering transitioning from using Webflow to Framer for their 12 websites. The comments provide mixed opinions - one community member suggests staying with Webflow if the sites are already built and working well, while another strongly recommends trying Framer and says they will "never look back". A third community member disagrees, stating they have transferred all their sites to Framer and find it "more simple, more intuitive and cheaper". There is no explicitly marked answer in the comments.

Has anyone transitioned from using Webflow to Framer? I currently have 12 websites on Webflow, but I'm considering the switch. I'm interested in hearing from those who have already made the switch and getting your thoughts. Thanks guys.

hey - curious why you’re thinking of switching?

Honestly, if your sites are already built in Webflow with no issues then I wouldn't bother migrating over to Framer. I don't see the benefit unless you're building custom React components to slot into a Framer version. Webflow is just as powerful if not more so. And that's coming from me using Framer, not Webflow, and being a total fanboy.

I'd just build new sites in Framer if you want to move away from it for your own design/build ease, or other personal reasons. No need to put yourself through the hassle of migrating everything unless you need to for some reason.

, there are no words to explain it. Just try it, build a website and you will never look back. I promise you. Rest in peace webflow.

Disagree. I've transfered all my sites to framer and it’s incredibly much more simple, more intuitive and cheaper.
