The Relume-to-Figma Workflow Conundrum: Preserving Custom Navigation Button Text

At a glance

The community member is new to the Relume-Figma workflow and is experiencing an issue where the navigation button text they customized (changing "Menu" to "Contact") is not being reflected in the exported Figma file. This issue only seems to be happening with the original project file, and not with newer test project files. In the comments, another community member suggests checking if the community member is using a custom font that may not be available in Figma, and whether the import was started inside a duplicated Relume Figma Kit. The community member responds that they are using the standard Roboto font that comes with the Relume Figma Kit, and the issue only seems to be affecting the "Menu" button, while other buttons are not affected. The community member suspects it may be a minor bug and is able to make the edits manually.

Useful resources

Good day everyone. I'm pretty new to the Relume->Figma workflow so please bear with the me. When exporting a project from Relume to Figma, for whatever reason the navigation button text that I customize - specifically the "Menu" button to "Contact" - stays as "Menu" in the exported Figma file. It only seems to be happening with the original project file and not any subsequent, newer test project files.

are you using any kind of custom font that might not be available within figma? Did you start the import inside a duplicated Relume Figma Kit? https://www.relume.io/resources/docs/customizing-the-figma-kit

Hi Matt. Thank you for responding. I'm using the standard Roboto font that comes with the Relume Figma Kit (duplicated). The other buttons for other sections (features, hero etc.) also don't seem to be affected. I wonder if it's just a minor random bug. Anyway, it's a small project (5 pages) and I'm able to make the edits manually.
