the new variable modes and reducing utility classes

At a glance
The community member who posted the original post is wondering if the new Variable Modes feature can help reduce the number of utility classes used in the Relume (or Client-First) framework, as they feel there are too many divs used just for utility classes. However, there are no comments provided, so there is no explicitly marked answer to the question.

Am i wrong or can we drop a huge amount of utility classes with with the arrival of the new Variable Modes? I would appreciate it, since Relume (or Client-First in that regard) uses to many divs just for utility classes imo.
