The Mysterious Disappearing Comments

In my email, I receive comments from a client on a wireframe. However, when I open the wireframe, I don’t see any comments. How is this possible?

I am having this exact same problem! Wonder if this is a bug..?

I can, however, see their replies to my comments

@Max Koelewijn this typically happens if the element was deleted that the comments were attached to - typically by regenerating pages or what not.

@Sandra Rand this feels like a different use case - would you mind sharing a link?

https://www.relume.io/app/project/P1899888_3HcydoVgy6Ggo4v49h-ee1BTCdJqysBCFvC6i9xxqy4#mode=wireframe. The comments I can see from David Salinger are only those where he is responding to me but i got several email notifications of his own original comments throughout the wireframe.

(sorry to hijack your thread @Max Koelewijn)

@Sandra Rand oh alright, so it could still be the same issue as above then - did you make any edits to the wireframe or regenerate any pages after they made comments?

none; as soon as he made comments I went into the wireframe and could not see them

@Sandra Rand unfortunately not - the opposite of luck - we can see that the comments were there, and what the comments are, but we've lost the data that attaches them to elements. We're working on a way to prevent this from happening again so that we can at least retain the data. We're also going to be changing up the UX to improve what happens when you try to delete an element or regenerate a page that has comments on it with a confirmation. I know in this case, you mentioned that you did not do any edits - so the first fix should at least give us more data to better understand what is happening - right now its not 100% clear to us why the comments are disappearing on the frontend. Incredibly unfortunate and I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this will surely cost you.

Hmm, that’s really unfortunate. Especially because I don’t know if I can trust the comment tool next time. Thanks for your help, Matt, and thank you Sandra for the clarification.

Okay thanks for the feedback @Matt
