Seamless Data Transition Between Multi-step Form Pages in Webflow

At a glance

The community member has built a multi-step form using Relume component and Formly on their Webflow site, with the first step on the homepage. Their challenge is ensuring that when users move to the second step on a different page, the data entered in the first step follows along seamlessly. The community members have shared several YouTube video links that may provide guidance, and one community member suggests that the Formly team could test passing data between pages using their Get Input Data feature, which stores data in the browser's local storage. Alternatively, the community member suggests writing code to store the form data as local storage and access it on the other pages.

Useful resources

Hi guys,

I’ve built a multi-step form using using Relume component and Formly on my Webflow site, with the first step on the homepage.

My challenge is ensuring that when users hit “Next” and move to the second step on a different page, the data entered in the first step follows along seamlessly. Has anyone managed to smoothly transition data between steps that are on separate pages within Webflow?

I’m looking for a straightforward solution or any tips that could guide me in the right direction.

, thank you for using Formly!!

We’ve not tested passing data between pages using our Get Input Data feature. It could be possible since we store that data in the browser’s local storage. We’ll test this and let you know

Alternate would be to write some code to store the form data as local storage and access it on the other pages. ChatGPT ftw!
