Resolving Relume Webflow component duplication issues

At a glance

The community member is experiencing an issue with Relume Webflow components where copying and pasting them in their project adds new classes postfixed with '-2'. For example, padding-global becomes padding-global-2. They are using Finsweets Client First V2 Cloneable, which may be the cause. The community members suggest installing a Chrome extension with class sync to resolve the issue. However, after installing the extension and enabling class sync, the issue persisted, with the class becoming padding-global 3. The solution appears to be cleaning the entire project of any duplicate classes before the class sync will work properly.

Hi I am having a problem with Relume Webflow components where if I copy and paste the component in my project. It adds new classes postfixed with '-2'. So for example, padding-global becomes padding-global-2. Same with container-large, it becomes container-large-2. Means I have to go through each class and remove that class and change it to the proper one. I'm using Finsweets Client First V2 Cloneable so this is probably why. But is there a way around this?

do you have our chrome extension installed with class sync on?

I'll install it now

Actually I installed it, enabled class sync and when I copied in a Relume Webflow component, padding-global became padding-global 3

you'll have to clean your entire project of any duplicate classes before it will sync properly.

My guess is that this class had already been duplicated

Gotcha thanks again
