Renaming of button classes when copying wireframe from Relume library

At a glance

The community member is experiencing an issue where their button classes are being renamed when they copy in a wireframe from the Relume library, even though their "class sync" is turned on. Other community members suggest the following steps to resolve the issue:

1. Clean up all duplicate classes in the project first before attempting to prevent the issue.

2. Review the settings and troubleshooting tips in a Relume documentation link provided.

3. Relume is also releasing a new version of their extension soon that should help keep the class sync more persistent across projects.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, the community members recommend reaching out to Relume for further assistance.

Useful resources

Hi. When ever I copy in a wire frame from the Relume library, it always renames my button classes to a new unique one. My class sync is even turned on. Any idea whats going on?

Would you mind sending a read-only link?

yeah so you'll first need to clean all duplicate classes out of the project first before we can even begin to prevent the issue. Once you have cleaned all duplicate classes, we'll want to take a look at some settings.

Here's a doc on that: https://www.relume.io/resources/docs/how-to-fix-and-prevent-class-duplication-in-webflow

We also have a new version of the extension coming out in a few days that will keep the class sync more persistent across projects - so if you are toggling between projects right now there is a chance that the class sync had turned off without you knowing it. But once you clean your project entirely of class duplication, try to paste in a component again and if its still duplicating classes - try the troubleshooting tips at the bottom of that doc. After all of that, if you are still having issues - please reach out so that we can resolve this for you. Its incredibly frustrating to have classes duplicating. Its also an incredibly complex feature with a lot of variables to consider, so it will take time to troubleshoot.

Thanks ! I'll get to work on this and report back. Cheers
