Relume.io is 403 Forbidden

At a glance

A community member was experiencing issues logging into the relume.io website, receiving a 403 Forbidden error. The community members tried various troubleshooting steps, including checking their internet connection, trying different browsers, and using a different device. The issue seemed to be isolated to the community member's specific setup, and the community members suspected it might be related to Cloudflare or a network issue on the community member's end.

After further investigation, the community member discovered that a node process they were running was causing the issue. By closing down that process, the community member was able to successfully log in. The community members concluded that the node process was manipulating the device's network in a way that was interfering with the login process.

Okay, will let our engineers know, thanks.

Possible issue with Cloudflare.

can you try logging in via this link and letting us know if you run into any errors and if so, send screenshots again? Thanks!

nope still not working

are you using a VPN at all or?

hey Matt was on a different pc and was abe to login, so it's probably a thing on my end. still wierd cause i can't think of things that have changed in my setup for it not working on this laptop

vpn is turned off

yeah, you are 1 of 2 people that I have ever seen having this issue. Its not straightforward to troubleshoot either.

oke hmm so what to do now

still blocked on your other device or?

yes in different browsers

are you connecting to the same Wifi every time? Is it a public cafe or a private network? We might need more details about your connection to better understand why this is happening but we think its cloudflare, so there's a chance you would have to whitelist their IP addresses on your end in order for this to work correctly.

Just a reminder - are you trying to login using this URL? Not the one from relume.io login button?

home network not on wifi

but wifi isn't working eather

tried different browsers

brave browser and chrome

yeah browser wont have anything to do with it - its a network issue

but when i was on location. i had an other laptop with me. on that laptop it worked on (the other network) but on this laptop it didn't work while it was on the same network

closed down a node i was running

okay, so something that was manipulating the device network, got it

went in to all the processes i was running and saw that and thought that might be whats jaming the situation

well, glad that we were able to resolve that mystery - our engineers were not able to really see anything, and it was very much isolated to just you at this point so if it was something on our end, I would have a lot of DMs right now πŸ˜„

do we know how that node process started?

its fine if you do, dont have to tell me, just making sure the resolution is repeatable/understood

i innitiated it myself but it wasn't a problem a while ago but maybe since the update of the node

i'll just wont run it simultaniously πŸ™‚

right yeah, interesting

happy i'm able to use relume again πŸ™‚

yes me too! Me too Leon, that one was stressin' me out a bit

sorry about that!
