Relume Webflow app's class sync issues

Has anyone been having issues with the Relume Webflow app's class sync? It worked perfectly for me 4-6 weeks ago, but lately it's been duplicating text, button and some utility classes. I've tried every troubleshooting step to no avail

@Blake Would you mind sending a read-only link?

Hey Matt, thanks for the follow up and sorry for the huge delay getting back to you! Here is a recent project where the issue is still occurring: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/relume-starter-library-86-3aad446340507?utm_medium[…]7&preview=b3fa70819fb8164e6815be90c12ce2bb&workflow=preview

@Blake so you are using the Relume webflow app to import screens into this project or?

yeah I am using the relume app on webflow and the relume component library to copy/paste section layouts

class sync worked when I first started working this way (probably a couple months ago now), but now webflow is duplicating classes again. I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps on relume's site

okay, interesting. I didn't think you could use our webflow app for older style guides like yours. I'll have to test that. Do you have the chrome extension installed and the chrome browser updated to the latest version?

oh maybe updating to the latest style guide would fix the issue? yes to both of those

you wouldn't be able to update to the latest style guide unfortunately.

unless you started this project over

yeah this project is early enough on that I'm fine with starting over with the new cloneable

well in that case, its worth a shot at least - maybe try cloning the latest version, and bring in some of the screens and see what happens

I do have this happening more than before though as well and 99% of the time if I turn off the class sync on the extension, save, refresh, turn it back on, save, refresh, and paste again, its fine. Depending on what the component is and if it exists already or not, I'll still get some renaming of interactions which is expected but other than that, the classes don't duplicate anymore.

I will say our history of being able to resolve class syncing issues is not great because of the enormous amount of variables involved - very complicated to troubleshoot or reproduce.

and most of the time its a webflow issue anyway

Yeah for sure, I imagine there's a lot of complexity to a feature like that and very webflow dependent. I'm trying with the new style guide now, seems to have resolved it. Thank you for the help!

Is there a way I can keep on top of when the latest style guide is published? I totally missed when this one came out

its actually pretty rare but its something I would like to make more clear in the future actually - I'll definitely keep it in mind.

in the history of Relume there have only been 3 major changes, and maybe 4 minor updates to the style guide.

one of the best workflow tips I can provide here though, because I used to clone it and make it a template within Webflow - is to not do that - just navigate to the library (or bookmark the cloneable page) and when you start a new project, just grab the latest version every time.

this will prevent you from missing out on any updates that may have happened but you make a good point - we could definitely make this more clear.

ah yeah that would probably be best, I just keep the cloneable in a folder in our workspace like you said

then when I want to start a new project, I just click that bookmark and I'm off to the races

sounds good, thank you for the help! I love the product so far, excited to see where it goes

awesome - happy building Blake!
