Relume performance issues on Firefox

At a glance

A community member is experiencing issues with the Relume library on Firefox, where it causes their Mac to slow down significantly. The community member has tested other sites that usually run in parallel without issue, but Relume is causing high CPU usage on Firefox. Other community members have commented that they have experienced similar issues with the VTDecoderXPCService causing high CPU usage, and that Firefox forums suggest this is related to JavaScript-heavy sites and certain objects within them. The Relume team has acknowledged the issue and stated that it would not be an "easy" fix due to the complexity of the library setup, but they will add it to their list of improvements.

Relume is unusuable on Firefox (at least for me).

When I go to relume.io/components it slows down my Mac to a level where nothing works in adequate time.

I tested different sites that usually run in paralell isolated (webflow eg) and it gets lagging on relume (see screenshot for the CPU usage on Firefox coming almost 100% from relume).

Anyone else having similar issues? Not intending to hop browsers.

btw, often % CPU goes way above 100% für the VTDecoderXPCService

Firefox forums say it has to do with JS-heavy sites and some objects within it

okay thanks for letting us know. This wouldn't be an "easy" fix as the library setup is complex. But we'll add it to our list of improvements.
