Relume: A Promising HTML Builder for Self-Hosted Web Client Projects

At a glance

The community member is interested in using Relume's HTML export feature to quickly scaffold their self-hosted web client projects. They are curious about whether the HTML export follows the same Client-First class naming system as Webflow, if the AI content adds populate in HTML, and if JavaScript animation integration (such as GSAP) is planned for the HTML export path.

In the comments, another community member responds that the HTML export uses Tailwind CSS instead of Client-First, and the original HTML export was a byproduct of producing the React components, not a dedicated feature. They are unsure if the team has plans to further develop the HTML export or add JavaScript animation integration.

Hi Relume team! I'm not much of a Webflow dev, but I stumbled across Relume while looking for HTML builders and am curious about using it together with the HTML export option as a means to fast-track the scaffolding of my self-hosted web client projects. I currently build with my own home-grown component library, but this looks next-level cool. Does the HTML export follow the same Client-First class naming system as a Webflow export? Do the AI content adds populate in HTML? Is Javascript animation integration (GSAP would be great!) in the pipeline for the HTML export path? Thanks in advance

@The Blue Ocean The HTML export is essentially the React components stripped of all React code. It was just sort of a bonus byproduct of producing the React components and something we just threw out there. I dont know if we have any plans to take a stab at a legit HTML export here or not. I can ask the team and follow up.

The AI content should export yes.

JavaScript is a no, and I'm not sure if we'll have this or not.

HTML export uses Tailwind CSS instead of client first.

What language / platform are you building with?
