Best Practices for Syncing Webflow Components with Relume Pages

Hey guys. I have a question about new pages in Relume after you've already designed the global components in Webflow. I've changed the header and footer components for my pages in Webflow. Changed the content changed the styling. I am assuming there is no way to reflect this in the Relume wireframe ... What I'm thinking is just import new pages as is with the components that Relume gives but then copying and pasting the Webflow components I have in the other page to replace the Relume ones that are outdated. Is this what you guys would recommend or is there a better way? Are you guys planning on anything like this in the future so that maybe new pages can be imported with the standard global components I already use in WF on my other pages?

Alex Q. yeah I know exactly what you are talking about and I think it'll be difficult to predict what should be inside of that global component. However, it may be just as complicated to do a component lookup, find a component that is named "navbar" or "footer" and then use that, instead of injecting the site builder version of it, if that makes sense. Styling should sync unless you've introduced new divs or created brand new classes. But I have a completely different structure to my navbars and footers that I then have to copy/paste across all the pages that are created. Would be cool if we could improve on this for sure - I'll be adding it to a list, no doubt.

Maybe one thing to get clear on for me is when you already developed the entire site on Webflow and you add new pages, on Relume the navbar and footer for instance are still the ones that initially got created by Relume, and I changed them a lot. So when you push those pages up, what navbar and footer are used? existing ones? are new ones created?

Alex Q. pretty sure the ones in the site builder get used. So you'd have to grab those components to replace the ones that get imported if that makes sense

Alex Q. just tested it and it grabs the existing component in the webflow project on import, so thats good news.

ope, fail - I was right the first time - brings a new instance in from site builder....sad

but it doesn't overwrite the one that exists already?

actually gosh that is so confusing - so I renamed the OG footer component to [v1] Footer - so I import a new page, and it brought in my existing footer component but renamed it - it did not rewrite it...
