Quick question about the figma to webflow process

At a glance

The community member is asking about the most expedient process for going from Figma to Webflow. The options presented are: 1) design in Figma and use a plugin to import to Webflow, 2) design in Figma and develop in Webflow without a plugin, 3) design core components in Figma and use a plugin to import only the components to Webflow, or 4) other.

In the comments, another community member mentions that the official Webflow plugin "Figma to Webflow" does not work well with their components, so they suggest that option 2 (design in Figma and develop in Webflow without the plugin) is the closest to the ideal path. The second commenter asks if there is a useful step-by-step guide for this process, as they are using Webflow for their own business, not an agency.

Quick question about the figma>webflow process. Do you:

1) design in figma and use plugin to import to webflow?
2) design in figma and develop in webflow without the plugin?
3) design core components figma and use plugin to import only components to webflow?
4) Other

Just looking to see the most expedient route.

which plugin are your referring to?

If you mean the official beta Webflow plugin "Figma to Webflow" - our components do not play nicely with that plugin for a lot of reasons out of our control (and some within our control).

So I think #2 is the closest to the ideal path.

Thanks! Is there a useful step-by-step guide on this? (I don’t run an agency, but using webflow for my own business).
