Previewing Animated Relume Components in Figma

At a glance

The community members are discussing whether it is possible to preview the animated Relume components in Figma. One community member thinks this may be a stretch, while another suggests that the animations are likely created using JavaScript and CSS, which could make it difficult to sync them between a website component and Figma without a third-party tool. There is no explicitly marked answer in the comments.

Can you preview the animated Relume components in figma?

I think this is a bit of a stretch, even for Relume!

No, because they are animated using JavaScript and CSS (I think that;s the answer)

That’s a much better answer than mine, correct! The relume library and other websites use either CSS animations or CSS + Javascript to do most animation. I’m not sure how Figma prototypes are animated (could possible be CSS/JS) but I’m sure it’s not easy to ‘sync’ them between a website component and Figma without a third party tool.
