Figma Component Issues: Need Help with Instances and Updates

Hey Team, Im having issues with Figma. Particularly issues regarding components and instances. Is there a video tutorial of someone who has mastered it? The issue is once ive updated content in the instance if I update the master component design the instance wont update. Not sure how im meant to update content now?
