Leveraging the relume figma kit for client projects

At a glance

The community members are discussing using the Relume Figma Kit as a starting point for new client projects in Figma. The idea is that by using the kit, any changes made to the style guide will propagate to the web pages that have been designed. The comments suggest that the workflow involves duplicating the latest kit, deleting unnecessary pages, and using the Batch Styler plugin to make global font changes. One community member also mentions customizing the kit further by adding additional pages and frames.

When creating a new client project in Figma, do ya'll just use the Relume Figma Kit as your client file? This way, if I build out the wireframe and want to edit the style guide, the changes propagate to the web pages I've designed.

This is the idea. Ya duplicate the latest kit and delete things you don’t need like the explainer page and then you can use the Batch Styler plugin to change all the fonts at once

yeah, that is the workflow. I do quite a few customizations to the kit - each month basically. I'm able to start up 3-4 new projects with each new month so its worth the effort. My customizations don't take long to do though either.

I remove basically all the pages besides the style guide page - I add in a Research, Sitemap, Wireframes, Design, Assets, Handoff, Archive pages. I add in some additional frames for favicon, open graph, cover image.
