Layout 408 Interaction on Mobile Portrait

At a glance

The community member is asking if the interaction on Layout 408 can work on mobile portrait mode, as the preview only shows it stacked without the interaction. Another community member suggests that the component team may have considered mobile but opted against it, and asks the team member Maria to provide some insight. The team member responds that they decided to skip adding the interaction for mobile to avoid potential issues with the animation timeline and to make the component easy to use. However, they mention that they will keep this in mind for future uncommon components to ensure they work well on mobile too. The community member is advised to add the animation for mobile and reset the layout408_card class to sticky position on mobile landscape.

Hi, does anybody know if it's possible for the interaction on Layout 408 to work on mobile portrait too? The preview only shows it stacked without the interaction.

I am assuming our super awesome component team had considered the mobile but opted against it - maybe could chime in to give us a little insight, what do you say Maria? 😄

Thanks ...would love to hear your thoughts . There are other uncommon layouts where the interaction works on mobile portrait too but they don't quite fit my desired intention.

Hey ! We’ve decided to skip adding that interaction for mobile to avoid any potential issues with the animation timeline and to make the component easy to use. However, it’s definitely something we’ll keep in mind for future uncommon components, so they shine on mobile too. 🙂

You can still add the animation for mobile (View Screenshot). And don’t forget to reset the layout408_card class to sticky position on mobile landscape.

Let me know if this works for you or if you need more help! 🙌

Thanks I'll let you know how
I get on!
