Kudos to React and HTML export options are a huge timesaver.

At a glance

The community member appreciates the new React and HTML export options, which they find to be a huge timesaver. They suggest adding the ability to import content via TXT, CSV, or JSON files with a documented schema. The community member envisions a workflow where they can take the source code of an old website, use AI tools to generate a schema describing the website, and then import that into the Relume site builder to create a new site that can be exported to HTML or React. They see this as a way to help fix the issues caused by "below-average bootcamp Wordpress devs" who have created subpar websites for small and medium-sized businesses.

In the comments, another community member thanks the original poster for the feedback and says it's a great idea that they will consider. They also request that the original poster post in a specific channel in the future so they can respond more quickly.

@Matt @Dan kudos to the React and HTML export options now, HUGE timesaver.

Sidenote:

You really had to wait until I was done importing by hand to release this?? πŸ˜‚ literally logging on the day after I publish to production to see that. Oh well.

Any plans to allow importing via TXT, CSV file? If you had a documented schema in CSV, txt, JSON, where I could import at will that would be awesome!

What I’m imagining is being able to take the source code for an old website, pasting it into GPT-4o/Claude/Gemini (probably page by page right now but eventually as a whole site), and allow it to generate an output in that schema format where it describes the old website section by section (using the title + description format you already use), then being able to generate a fresh site and export to React/HTML.

E.g. old bloated Wordpress site -> crawl and describe in documented schema format -> import -> build sections/wireframe in Relume site builder -> export to HTML/React.

That would be awesome. Sucks for the below-average bootcamp Wordpress devs who have saddled SMB’s across the globe with subpar websites, but awesome for everyone else fixing their mess.

(The workflow I described would be the manual option. The upgraded version would be automating this with an OpenAPI Schema that links directly to a Relume import)

Hey @Madison Sears! Thanks for your feedback πŸ™‚

That is a great idea, something for us to think about.

In the future, please post in #C06SZT6UEBA so we can help respond to this quicker
