Issues Importing Wireframes into Webflow Project

At a glance

The community member is having issues importing their wireframes into a Webflow project. The issues include only two of the five pages/wireframes being imported, and the styling not appearing as expected (text should be dark blue but is still black). The community member has checked that they have the necessary tools installed and followed the instructions, but is unsure what they might be doing wrong.

The comments suggest that the text color issue may be due to the styling being set at the section level rather than the highest level of the cascade. The community member was able to import the pages one by one, but still had issues with the styling. The other community members suggest trying a new project with the latest style guide, or testing one page at a time. They also offer to test the issue further and request the Relume project link to help reproduce and resolve the problem.

Useful resources

New site, but unfortunately, I’m having the same issues importing my wireframes into my Webflow project that I had on my last project.
Issues:

  1. When I click ‘Add Pages’ Relume Site Builder Import tool it only imports two of the five pages/wireframes from my Relume project
  2. Styling I set it the style guide page of the webflow start-template don’t appear in the imported pages (IE all text should be a dark blue, but it is still the default black)
  3. Read only Link to Webflow project

I have:
Chrome Extension installed ✅
Webflow Relume Site Builder Import ✅
The project started with the cloner, Relume Style Guide, Client-first V2.1 ✅ (I styled everything first, per the instructions in theses walkthroughs)

What might I be doing wrong?

Many thanks 🙏

@Sean Weas when did you do the import? Did you witness any errors at all?

Are you saying you didn't define this black color on the section class?

I was able to import a 20 page site with no issue, I have my suspicion on why your heading text color is not inheriting but not sure why your pages were not importing.

No errors on import

Heading text - I set the color on the body tag and then each of the heading classes as explained in the walkthrough video

Any feedback here? Should I just start over, or just do a single page at a time?

@Sean Weas in my testing so far, there have not been any text color declarations applied at the section level upon import so thats one of my main concerns with what you have going on right now. The main reason why your text is black is because its being declared at the section level - if you change this to the dark blue that you want, it'll work - or you can reset this so its not being specified and then your text color declaration will work as you would expect however its generally considered best practice to apply text colors at the highest level of the cascade rather than at the lowest level. So generally, you don't want to be specifying text colors at the heading level anyway.

As for why your pages are not importing, I would open a new project using the latest style guide and test again, and if that fails, test one page at a time. I can do this testing as well but I've already ran a few tests and I am not able to reproduce the issue.

@Sean Weas are you able to share the Relume project link so I can duplicate it into our Relume workspace and see if its something within the sitemap/prompt that might be preventing import into webflow? here or DM

Just dropped them in one page at a time ✅

For the styling - totally understand best practices and the cascade --> those were set to black on import vs. me explicitly setting them to black --> IE I would have expected that rule to not exist at that level by default

@Sean Weas okay, I'll do some more testing and watch out for that because yeah I agree, I dont think those "rules" should be set on import but maybe something glitched with style guide builder for a moment or something, I'm not entirely sure how that would have happened yet.

If you are able to still share that Relume project link that could potentially help me reproduce and thus fully resolve this from happening. Otherwise, I'm flying blind with nothing to actually give to engineers besides some words so any help would be very very much appreciated. Appreciate your patience with this Sean
