Incorrect footer implementation in the new design

At a glance

A community member reported an issue with the new footers added to the product, stating that the Block spacing strategy they use is not being applied, and the footers only contain a few spacers and Wrappers instead. The community member expressed disappointment in this "careless mistake" by the product team, suggesting poor testing and quality control.

Another community member responded dismissively with "Ok karen", while a third community member, Federico, addressed the original post. Federico agreed that thorough testing of components is standard practice, and while Test-Driven Development may be less common in low-code/no-code environments, its principles are still important for maintaining clean architecture and minimizing bugs. Federico expressed disappointment that this process was not followed in this case, as the product is relied upon and paid for by many people.

There is something wrong with the new footers that were recently added. I use the Block spacing strategy (and have also selected that in the component library), but the new footers only contain a few spacers and otherwise I only see Wrappers, absolutely no Block Spacing Strategy (see screenshot). Very poorly tested and checked if I may be honest. Very disappointed in this careless mistake by Relume.

@Will C Hi Will, I'm not sure why you responded to my message, as it wasn’t addressed to you.
In my opinion, it’s standard practice to thoroughly test components for errors before adding them to the library. While Test-Driven Development (TDD) may be less common in low-code/no-code environments, its principles still play a key role in maintaining clean architecture and minimizing bugs. Unfortunately, it seems this process wasn’t followed in this case, which is disappointing for a product that so many people rely on and pay for. Wishing you a great day, Federico.
