Incorporating an animation library for the subscription service

At a glance

Do you plan on incorporating an animation library in the near future? This would be a great addition to the subscription service. I've started to see a few sites that offer this, such as the following:

https://www.gfluo.com/

No plans yet , but great suggestion!

Hey Jason, these look great. Do you know other sites that offer more complex animations?

These are the only ones I know of, but even these appeared in the last few weeks or months, so I'm sure we'll start to see a few more options on the horizon.

I've seen complex animations on cloneable sites found on Webflow. It's a great place to gather ideas until a more advanced animation library becomes available.

Why would you use gfluo vs straight gsap?

From what I can tell, gfluo has a webflow app that allows you to easily add gsap animations to your site without actually writing any custom code

This is just what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing this. Really impressed with the collection of animations on offer here for free πŸ™Œ

I just saw this post now. It seems cool, but @U03NFCSMV5M how can you be confident that these interactions will work forever?

A paid gfluo account seems much safer to me, no?

Hey @U05R1AR9LP2 what is your concern? At the end of the day it's all just code that sits on a server somewhere. Yes if the servers all shutdown and the code is inaccessible then your animations might stop working ... and likely the rest of the world.
I think Goo is built on GSAP so I wouldn't be too concerned.

I believe gfluo is just an easier user experience. Hence the cost.

Well if gfluo is an easier experience I'd probably go with that as I'm not so into code:)

I'm just concerned that there's no guarantee that the server will be up forever

If I'm using it on clients sites, I don't want it to break one day

I always say that one of the reasons to use Webflow over Wordpress is that it's much less likely for things to break because it's all native

You could download the code and load it into your own code depository than it's up to you.
Even gfluo is loading external code in.

I don't know how to do that πŸ™‚ I don't get so technical like that

GFluo is paid and says I get lifetime access. For some reason that makes me feel better

All of GSAP is external code, no?

Yes. As I understand when you load a site it loads in all the code/scripts that is referenced within it.
With gsap you have lifetime access as well.
There is no right or wrong here.

I hear. Thank you for your help.

@U03NFCSMV5M are you good with custom code?

No, but maybe good enough for what you need? What are you trying to do?

I'm trying to have 2 different GSAP animations on a website. Being chatting with claude but things keep going wrong, but it might be too complex if you don't know code well

cool! Thank you! I feel like we need a list of all these good webflow resources that make such a difference

I think Claude actually finally pulled through! If it's working do I need to be worried about anything, or should I have someone who knows code review it?

Just DM'd you a bigger resource but this might be what you are looking for: https://webflowthings.webflow.io/
